Kootenay Adaptive was established in 2019, but has been alive as a sport and physical literacy non-profit for over 10 years, formerly under the name of Kootenay Sufferfest. Seeing the need to offer greater inclusion at events, the evolution began and the road to becoming a Global leader in Adaptive Mountain Biking (aMTB) began.

Some of Kootenay Adaptive’s top Priorities include:

  • Sport and Programming Development
  • Growing our Trail Infrastructure
  • Advocacy and Networking on a Global Scale, while still staying true to our roots in the West Kootenays and the heart of aMTB
